Students study globalization & trade, discuss international careers, cultural issues and marketing strategies used around the world. Group activities emphasize cultural, economic and trade concepts and include international collaboration activities.
Students increase their effectiveness in professional communications and may take the class for either English or Business credit . Emphasis is placed on developing and practicing new skills in an interactive and hands-on environment.
Students develop competence in touch keyboarding while using interactive applications and learning to format personal and business correspondence, reports, and use Microsoft Office applications and networks.
This class provides business & personal applications of technology: spreadsheets, graphics, operating systems, word processing, multimedia presentations, current events, internet, email and photo-editing on PCs.
Collaborative, project-based application and integration of business-oriented software to personal and professional situations including web page design, digital media. database design and creation, spread sheet, chart and presentation development.
Students identify key career development skills such as planning and effective communication, and create tools, including resumes, cover letters and applications. Enrollment in this course is a prerequisite for current or future community employment experiences including on-the-job training.
